In continuation of the previous post , Cognizant has provided the list of candidates scheduled for the technical assessment on 29th Oct 2024.

Only one attempt is allowed, and the assessment must be taken through the Mettl Secure Browser (MSB). Candidates are requested to download and set up MSB in advance to avoid any issues during the assessment. Click here to download V36 MSB and perform the system compatibility check. Please download the latest version of MSB (V36) for taking the Technical assessment. Upon launching the assessment you will be prompted to download the latest version of MSB.
Candidates to ensure candidates are aware of the assessment pre-requisites and complete the system setup in advance. Candidates will also receive an email from Superset (notifications@email.joinsuperset.com) with the assessment link and details for the system readiness check. Candidates are advised to keep a close check on their registered email id.
What is required from candidates?
- All candidates currently on versions 32, 33, 34 & 35 are required to update their MSB before taking test.
- Run the System Compatibility Check link well in advance to ensure they have the new version of MSB running on their systems.
- This update is applicable only for Windows OS. Candidates using Mac can continue as usual.
- All fresh/new downloads will get latest build (V36) by default.
Important points
- Install MSB and perform all system checks well in advance. Use "Check System Compatibility" link at the top to perform the same and any required installation / configuration.
- Complete the mandatory Sample Assessment to ensure compatibility of the device and familiarize with the test environment. Please ensure that you use the same device for final assessment.
- In case of any issues while launching MSB, please refer to the trouble shooting document.
- Ensure anti-virus process in your system is disabled before the start of assessment.
- Only one attempt is available. Ensure laptop battery is fully charged / desktop is powered throughout the assessment duration and you have uninterrupted internet connection.
- Hit the "Start test" link only at time specified for test commencement.
- The "Start test" (assessment) link will only be enabled as per the start date and time of the assessment.
- Do not click F5 or try to refresh the screen, doing this will submit and end the assessment.
- Assessment has more than 1 section, so do not click ‘Finish Test’ button until all the sections are completed. Upon clicking ‘Finish Test’, a summary of the completed sections and pending sections will be shown. Please review it carefully before submitting.
- It is mandatory to attempt all questions.
- Please ensure you answer the questions in the same order they appear. You can’t go back to the previous question once you skip / move to the next question. If a candidate accidentally moves to the next question after typing a few lines of code, they cannot go back to the previous question. If no code is typed, they will not be allowed to move forward.
- Sectional timing is allocated for all the sections. Check the timing carefully and complete each section within the allotted time. You will be automatically moved to next section when the current section time is up.
- Code skeleton containing the Class/Method/Function details are provided by default.
- Replace the Exception throw statement given inside code skeleton with the actual implementation code.
- Latest Code/Query submitted will be considered for grading. Ensure the final submission is valid.
- In case of any disconnection due to power failure or internet issue, please restart your assessment immediately using the same invitation link.
Dos
ü Read the FAQs, prior to the assessment.
ü Take the assessment on a desktop/laptop equipped with a working webcam (external or built-in) with the latest camera drivers installed and ensure smooth internet connectivity throughout the assessment.
ü Ensure that laptop battery is fully charged, and desktop/laptop plugged in to power.
ü Test webcam prior to the assessment, as it will be required throughout the assessment.
ü Ensure to take the assessment from a quiet area with adequate brightness. Adjust indoor lighting and camera angle to make sure the face is clearly visible, at all times. Adjust camera position, so the face and upper body is visible during the assessment. Ensure to have a plain background and avoid photos, pictures, curtains, clothes, and decorations as a backdrop.
ü Use the helpline number provided at the bottom of the assessment page in case of any interruptions to the assessment or platform-related issues.
ü Take the assessment fairly and avoid all malpractice.
ü Take the guided tour for each section to become familiar with the navigation and user interface features specific to that section.
ü Allocate time wisely for each problem to ensure completion within the given timeframe.
ü Maintain composure even if faced with challenging problem statement or limited time.
Don’ts
- Click F5 or try to refresh the screen, doing this will submit and end the assessment.
- Skip questions before answering them completely, as you will not be able to attempt them again.
- Click ‘Print Screen’ or try to copy the content while the assessment is in progress.
- Cover the webcam at no point during the assessment and move out of the computer/laptop webcam range.
- Have anyone else present in the room apart from yourself while taking the assessment.
- Use any other electronic device like mobile phones, headsets/earphones, ear pods, calculators or recording devices during the entire duration of the assessment.
- Use AI platforms like Chat GPT for any of the hiring rounds.
Zero tolerance for malpractice
- The assessment platform uses AI mechanisms to track malpractice. Any candidate found to be using unfair means (like Telegram) will be disqualified from the hiring process, without notice.
- Cognizant has a zero-tolerance policy for malpractice. A disqualification may be issued at any stage of the process, as and when malpractice is detected and is solely at the discretion of Cognizant.
Note
· The final assignment to a skill cluster for technical assessment is determined by Cognizant, ensuring the process aligns with business needs.
· At any point in time, if the self-profile declared by the student during the registration process is found to be false or if the student is found to have indulged in any sort of malpractice at any stage, the application will be withdrawn.
· The final decision on the candidate screening, eligibility for assessment, interview and final selection will be at the sole discretion of Cognizant.
· If selected, candidates will be subject to internal audit process. In case, any observation is found to be inappropriate, it will lead to a withdrawal of the selection.
